In 2004, the LFC Shockers
established a training program relationship with the Martin Methodist College’s women’s soccer coach and NAIA National Coach of the Year, Coach
Gerry Cleary. Throughout our 2005 spring
outdoor season, our players conducted intensive skills training with
collegiate level players and coaches who
were dedicated to the team’s development. This summer, the LFC Shockers completed a month-long MMC soccer academy
program ran by Coach Cleary that was based
upon training sessions used almost exclusively for Olympic Development
Program teams. Our plan is to continue
this training approach and expand it for the 2006 outdoor season.
Your commitment to this team will also mean a
commitment to our training programs. We
are looking for quality players – team players – players that are more concerned
about the name on the front of the jersey
than they are about the name on the back. If you show that you are one of those players, we welcome you to the
Shockers and will strive to help you obtain the
goals you’ve set for yourself.
Come join our team and help us
continue to build a winning tradition.
